Louisiana Pipeline Emergencies Training (LaPET) Program inaugural class and ribbon cutting
ExxonMobil has collaborated with the FETA-Louisiana Fire and Emergency Training Academy and River Parishes Community College to develop the Louisiana Pipeline Emergencies Training (LaPET) program for first responders. This course combines classroom instruction and field exercises focused on pipeline incidents and emergency readiness.
With the first course taking place in October, the occasion was commemorated with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Speakers at the event included ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Public and Stakeholder Engagement Lead Michael Smith, Fire Chief and Ascension Parish CAER Chairman James LeBlanc, Louisiana State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan J. Adams, River Parishes Community College Chancellor Quintin D. Taylor, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company Director CO₂ Pipelines William Biggers, and FETA Superintendent Chief Tracey Normand.
Thank you to the Louisiana Fire & Emergency Training Academy, River Parishes Community College and all the first responders who participated.
