ExxonMobil holds Carbon CCS STEM Professional Development Workshop
In October, we collaborated with Alcorn State University and the Tapia Center to hold a Carbon CCS STEM professional development workshop for 20 Southwest Mississippi educators. Fully funded by ExxonMobil and hosted by the Lincoln County School District, middle and high school teachers across all disciplines learned about carbon capture and storage and the Tapia Carbon Project. All participants received a free, all-inclusive classroom kit of the Tapia Carbon Project so they can bring the excitement and education of model reservoir building back to their students.
Thank you to the teachers who attended, Lincoln County School District’s Central Office for hosting, and the Tapia Center for teaching our educators how to facilitate these lesson plans to students.
