Jackson State University hosts first Algorithms and Energy Camp of 2026
For the third year in a row, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company is proud to collaborate with Jackson State University and the Tapia Center to provide a STEM-packed week of learning for rising 10th–12th grade students. Hosted at JSU, the Algorithms and Energy Camp introduces campers to the world of data centers, computer hardware concepts, and the real-world impact of STEM careers and innovation.
During the camp, ExxonMobil’s CO₂ Operations Area Manager Brian Blatt had the opportunity to speak with campers about his firsthand journey in the energy industry and the exciting opportunities available to those pursuing a career in STEM.
Students gave project presentations at the Science Fair on the last day of the camp, where additional members of the ExxonMobil team, industry representatives and distinguished guests were on hand to answer questions and engage with students. We’re proud to support programs that spark curiosity, build confidence and inspire the next generation of innovators, and we’re grateful to the industry leaders, community partners and the Tapia Center joining us in celebrating these students and investing in their future.
