Pipeline replacement

ExxonMobil Pipeline Company's Integrity Management experts may determine that the best course of preventive maintenance includes replacement rather than repair of existing pipe. In such cases, a quality-assurance plan is created, similar to what would precede new construction, even though replacements are usually smaller projects.

Replacement projects must meet or exceed current standards for material, design and construction. As with new construction, we focus on quality and integrity at every step of the replacement process, from manufacturing and transport of pipe, to assembly and laying in of replacement pipe, to restoration of the right-of-way.
